Our Automatic Weather Station (AWS)

The MeteoenSevilla observatory is located in San Juan de Aznalfarache, just 2.5 km from Seville at a height of 25 meters above sea level, providing accurate and representative data on weather conditions in the southwest of the city of Seville.

Real-Time Images

Our system automatically captures sky images every 5 minutes from two different perspectives, allowing observation of the evolution of atmospheric conditions throughout the day:

Data Processing

All data collected by our Davis Vantage Pro2 station is processed through Weather Display software. This system allows us to:

  • Continuously record weather conditions
  • Generate statistics and historical data
  • Provide forecasts based on local trends
  • Offer real-time data through our website

The images captured by our cameras are managed by the Blue Iris server, which allows us to:

  • Continuously monitor sky conditions
  • Create time-lapse sequences of significant weather events
  • Automatically detect relevant changes in atmospheric conditions
